Meeting Needs
This morning, I attended the monthly meeting of the Overton County Ministerial Association. Today’s meeting was not held at the regular location (a nice comfy meeting room), but at the Good Samaritan Center, which is a tremendous ministry providing food, clothing, household goods, and spiritual care for those in need in Overton County. It was a tremendous time of learning more about the ministry, how the Church can plug into it, and what is our responsibility as the Church.
I want to encourage EVERYONE in Overton County, Tennessee to take the time to visit the Good Samaritan Center. Get to know the directors, and learn about the wonderful ministry that is taking place in a less than adequate facility. God is truly blessing through this ministry. I pray that all disciples of Jesus Christ would take the time to be involved with ministries such as this. Show up where people are. Listen to their concerns. Touch their lives in a way that will make a difference for eternity.
